I am a freelance illustrator living in Taiwan.
In 2015, I established the "Michelle Ro" illustration page, drawing inspiration from everyday life. I hope my creations can resonate with those who share similar feelings, allowing them to find their own stories within the artwork.
The girls I draw are extensions of myself, but they are unafraid to show every side of their personality. With their cool, slightly melancholic gazes, they leave others wondering what they’re truly feeling.
There are moments in life when we feel low—and as humans, we often become experts at hiding it. We think that, with time, the feelings will simply fade. But the truth is, the root of the problem doesn’t disappear; it merely settles into a quiet corner of the heart.
That’s why I choose to express these emotions through my art—not only to face them myself, but to let others know they’re not alone.
These feelings don’t make us broken. They make us human.
